Ajay Devgan’s ‘Taanaji’ to have 3D Version
Soon after getting announced by Ajay Devgan last July, his ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ ran into trouble, when difference of opinion started to form between two of its productions houses. It was really sad that the movie was touted to be Ajay Devgan’s most ambitious project till date. The star had even released the first look poster of the movie back then. However, the actor was determined to bring up the project, anyways. Reports suggest that the actor’s own production house might take over the project. It is been reported that the movie would be set on a large canvas, and a 3D version would be there for the project. To be directed by Om Raut, ‘Taanaji’ would deal with the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was a general in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
Close sources to Ajay maintained that Ajay Devgan’s own VFX company would work for the special effects of the movie. While the movie is in full swing with the pre – production procedures, insiders suggest that team ‘Taanaji’ have already started creating the sets. All set to start shooting within two – three months, ‘Taanaji’ is slated to hit big screens by next year. While we don’t have an information about the exact plans, it is been informed that the pre production procedures would be completed by the month of September. Having said that Ajay Devgan isn’t keen on announcing a release date now, as he considers that it would pressurize the whole team of the movie.
Since the actor plans to visualize the concept in a larger than life canvas, some heavy VFX works would be incorporated with the project. The international success of ‘Baahubali’ series, has given way for more such projects to come up from various regional industries in India. A legendary figure, the life of this Maratha warrior, who is better known for the battle of Sinhagad, could woo Indian audiences in big time.
