Cool Chick Mahanati: Vijay Devarakonda refuses to apologize

Vijay Devarakonda invited a whole lot of criticisms, when he made an unexpected remark on Mahanati. Last day, the actor shared the poster of ‘Mahanati’, which featured both Keerthy Suresh and that of Savitri, via Twitter. While sharing the poster, he captioned ‘What a Cool Chick’ [sic]. The comment took no time to invite controversy. He was widely criticized for the remark on the legendary actress. A number of people advised the actor to apologize for his remark, lest he should be punished. Well, the daring actor, has taken twitter space today and maintained that he would not be apologizing for the remark.

The ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor, in a series of tweets, commented that the actress would have been happy, if someone called her the way he did. Criticizing the morel policing act of people, the actor said that it was a group of moralists, who had called the actress a home breaker and alcoholic, during her heydays. He maintained that the actress was just like any other normal girl. Vijay was of the opinion that the actress had always been a girl with dreams in her mind and wanted to be loved by all. Well, the tweet, though has not completely pacified those who found the actor’s previous tweet irritating, however has invited much better comments. A section of Twitterati found his explanation satisfying enough and gave thumbs up response for Vijay.

All set to hit big screens on may 9, this Nag Ashwin directorial features Keerthy Suresh essaying the titular character. Movie will also see Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha, Vijay Devarakonda, Mohan Babu and Shalini Pandey essaying other prominent roles. Highly anticipated, the video – audio sneak peeks of the movie have all created quite a lot of buzz in the industry. Since the movie is reportedly dealing the insider details of Tollywood on a close note, it has to be seen, how it refers the living souls, who had a close relationship with the actress.
