‘Ee Ma Yau’ gets a release date on May 4

After several postponements, Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial ‘Ee Ma Yau’ has finally got a release date. Going in line with the reports, the movie would hit big screens on May 4th. According to the available sources, the postponement was essential for the movie getting a countrywide release. Earlier when inquired, Lijo Jose Pellissery maintained that it was the combined decision of the whole film unit, which pushed the release date of the movie to this extend. All set to be released on December, last year, the movie has gone onto announce multiple release dates, followed by postponing it. Upon generating great response from its preview show, film buffs in the state, were all expecting the movie to get released. Heightening the expectation levels, the movie has gone onto bag multiple awards during the recently announced Kerala State Film Awards 2017,

Set in a coastal village, ‘Ee Ma Yau’ deals with instances taking place after the death of a person. Lijo Jose Pellissery maintains that the death of the person is been viewed in different perspectives. Touted to be a revenge drama, the title of the movie is the contraction for ‘Eeso Mariyam Ouseppe’. The director further said that the movie has got instances of humour interlaced with it. Written by PF Mathews, the movie went onto grab headlines, when it completed the whole shooting within 18 days.

The movie stars Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod, Dileesh Pothan, Kainakary Thankaraj and to name a few others in important roles. However, not just familiar faces, this Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial has got a number of fresh faces making their debut in it. The director, who amazed us when he had introduced 86 new faces in ‘Angamaly Diaries’, revealed that most of the debutants were roped in from Chellanam, where the movie is set. While Shyju Khalid handles the cinematographic department, Prashant Pillai has given music for ‘Ee Ma Yau’. Rajesh George Kulangara has produced the film.
