Mahesh Babu goes Madame Tussauds

Prince Mahesh Babu is on a roll these days. After making the fastest grossing INR 100 Cr flick of this year, the star is all set to make his presence felt in a coveted place – Madame Tussauds Museum. It was Mahesh Babu himself, who informed the news. Taking the twitter space to share the excitement, Mahesh Babu thanked the officials of Madame Tussauds Museum. Well, he thus has become the second actor from Tollywood to get a wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Earlier it was Baahubali star Prabhas, who made it to the list first.

Meanwhile, his one week long ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ is busy creating new records at every releasing centre. During the course of a week long box office run, the movie has collected INR 125 Cr from worldwide and has surpassed the lifetime collection of the star’s ‘Spyder’. The film is a smashing hit in territories such as Tamil Nadu and Mumbai – where the movie has created non Baahubali records. The case is similar in overseas territories. In the US, the film opened to stupendous response, with the movie’s collection going past well over INR 17.91 Cr. The Australian market too saw record breaking business for a Telugu movie therein. Going in line with trade analyst Mohan, the movie would surge past the INR 200 Cr mark by the end of its full run.

As far as the wax statue is concerned with, indeed, this is a great feat for the star, since not many Indian film stars are there, who made it to the list of Madame Tussauds museum. Even from Bollywood, we have not more than 10 stars, whose wax statue got placed at Madame Tussauds museum. As Prince has come a long way since his debut with Raja Kumarudu in 1999, it is not a surprise that the star has gone onto get a statue at Madame Tussauds. He would share the space along with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and to name some of the stunning names from Bollywood.
