Prithvi Raj and Nazriya won Tamil Nadu State Film award

Tamil Nadu government had announced the state awards which has been pending for last 6 years and Mollywood artists Prithvi Raj Sukumaran and Nazriya Nazim had won prominent awards. Tamil Nadu Government had published the awards for last 6 years 2 days back and Prithvi Raj won the best Villain award for his performance in the movie named KaviyaThalaivan which was released in the year 2014. Sidharth won the best actor award for the same movie and AR Rahman won the best music director award for his tunes in KaviyaThalaivan. Vasantha Balan had directed this movie and Prithvi Raj thanked each and every cast and crew members of this movie through his twitter account.

Nazriya won the special award for best actress, for her performance in the movie named Neram which released in the year 2013. It was directed by Alphonse Puthran and it was Tamil- Malayalam bilingual as well. Nayanthara won the best actress of that year for her performance in the movie named Raja Rani directed by Atlee, in which Nazriya played the supporting actress character.

 Malayali actresses like Amala Paul, Iniya, Lakshmi Menon etc also won state awards for their performances in movies named Mynaa, Vaagai Sooda Vaa and Kumki respectively.
