Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ to fight with Salman’s ‘Race 3’
Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ is one of the most anticipated movies of recent times in Tamil cinema. Upon releasing, it is certain that this movie would shatter many records at box office. All set to hit big screens on April 27, the superstar flick however met with a postponement, due to the ongoing strike in Kollywood. Well, now it seems like Kollywood has finally started reaching in on a solution for the ongoing strike. According to the available reports, makers of ‘Kaala’ have decided releasing their much anticipated movie on June 15. Incidentally, the day happened to be the exact date, on which Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’ is planned to release on.
Reports suggest that makers of ‘Kaala’ are yet to make an official statement regarding the same. Since both the movies are extremely huge in terms of production value and star cast, it has to be seen, whether they would dare going for a face off with each other. ‘Race 3’, which had already announced the release date, might not change their releasing plans. Moreover, Eid is something, which a Salman Khan movie cannot afford to miss. For the past some years, Eid has proved quite fruitful for the Bollywood megastar. This time, with stars like Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Jacqueline joining the star cast along with Salman Khan, the Remo D’Souza directorial is something, which Bollywood places the bet in big time. On the other hand, the Pa.Ranjith directed ‘Kaala’ too boasts a big star cast. Besides the superstar, the movie will see Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani and others in important roles.
Since both the stars belong to two different film industries, some believe that the coincidence of release date, might not be considered a big deal by both the industries. However, with both the stars boasting a mass following across the globe, these two movies would eat up others’ business, if gone for a box office clash.
