Shaji Nadesan made it clear, Mammootty – Santosh Sivan team’s Kunjali Marakkar is on..!
This seems quite interesting, though not highly recommended for the industry, as was said by Priyadarshan earlier. After Priyadarshan informing about starting off the project ‘Kunjali Marakkar: The Lion of Arabian Sea’, here comes Shaji Nadesan taking social media corners to share the poster of ‘Kunjali Marakkar: IV’. With this, the stage is set for two superstars committing on their respective projects, based on a single story. It has to be seen, how the makers are planning with their projects. Last day, when Priyadarshan – Mohanlal combo unveiled the title of ‘Kunjali Marakkar: The Lion of Arabian Sea’, the whole Malayalam cinema fraternity was filled with excitement. Priyadarshan made it clear that the movie would have over INR 100 Cr invested on it. He even commented that the movie would be a turning point in the careers of him as well as that of Mohanlal.
During the title unveiling function, Priyadarshan came across questions regarding the Santosh Sivan project. The director, however maintained that he had personally contacted Santosh Sivan and inquired about the project. Priyadarshan said that Santosh Sivan had informed him about not going to start off his ‘Kunjali Marakkar’ in the immediate future. Priyadarshan on the other hand, made it clear that he would start off the shooting of his movie from November, this year, itself. It was into this scenario, which Shaji Nadesan has come up with the poster of ‘Kunjali Marakkar: IV’. Though his facebook post had not mentioned anything about the production, the poster, however had delivered a catchy dialogue.
Now, it would be interesting to see how, these two camps are going to deal with their respective projects. As far as the Priyadarshan – Mohanlal’ movie is concerned with, it was successful in creating a huge buzz in the industry. While the graphics were appreciated (though accused of stealing from ‘Pirates of Caribbean’), the movie however received criticisms from round the corners for a reason. The title of the movie was unveiled, with the dialogue of Mohanlal being delivered in the background. Well, a major section of the audience found the dialogue delivery of the star, not being accurate enough to match the accent of Malabar region.
